WMC 2026

REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS TO HOST

General
•    7 days event (From Monday to Sunday)
•    40-44 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    45-49 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    50-54 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    55-59 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    60-64 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    65-69 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    70-74 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    75-79 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    80-84 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    85-89 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    More than 90 years: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles
•    Ceremonies include Opening Ceremony, Award Ceremony and Closing Ceremony.
 
Venue
•    Main Hall
o    Up to 150 playing areas (10 m x 5 m)
o    For the Finals 9 to 18 playing areas (12 m x 6 m)

•    Training Hall(s)
o    Training Hall up to 100 tables 
•    High-traffic Exhibition area for spectators, exhibitors, and sponsors
•    Player facilities including Seats, Lounges, Medical, massage and first-aid, and Changing rooms.
•    VIP facilities, including Seats and Lounges.
•    Administrative facilities including Meeting rooms, Seats, ITTF and SCI offices, Umpire Lounges, Official Lounges, Call-Area and ITTF Competition.
•    Media facilities including Seats, Press room and Press Conference.
•    Sufficient Internet and other IT services, including support for ITTF’s Result Management System.

 

Hosting Fee
•    ITTF has a fixed Hosting Fee for the winning Local Organiser.

 

Hospitality
•    Accommodation: should make available 5*, 4* and 3* Hotels options.
•    Transport for players, officials, sponsors, and other partners.

 

Marketing and Media
•    Media requirements shall be set out in WMC Directives to ensure the best conditions for media.
•    The organiser shall uphold all sponsorship agreements signed by the ITTF.
•    VIP services shall be implemented as per the WMC Directives.

 

Functions and Services
•    The organizer shall provide players with high level of service, according to WMC Directives.
•    ITTF and organiser must conduct Racket Testing, according to the rules and regulations of ITTF.
•    Organizer must ensure that medical services will be available throughout the WMC, in accordance with WMC Directives.

 

Referees and Umpires
•    The organiser and ITTF will invite national and foreign Referees and Umpires for the WMC Competition Stage and the Finals of the Consolation Stage.
•    Minimum: Up to 150 Umpires. 1 Referee and up to 8 Deputy Referees.
